The dictionary will say something and that when you try to use that in context you will realize that it “kind of” conveys that meaning, yet most people use a different or more idiomatic expression instead. What can you do there? Well, learn as you go!
Remember, it’s impossible to anticipate every single idiomatic expression out there! Do your best and learn as you go! The journey is as important and as much fun as the destination!
